Things to check before buying an old car

Buying an old car is sometimes look lucrative. But, if you are not careful enough it may give you a headache after your purchase. So, check those points before making a decision.

Title and Registration: Ensure the car's title and registration are clear and up-to-date.

Odometer Reading: Check the odometer reading to determine the car's actual mileage and ensure it has not been tampered with.

Maintenance Records: Look for the car's maintenance records to ensure it has been properly serviced and to see what repairs may be needed in the future.

Car Inspection: Have a trusted mechanic inspect the car before you buy it to determine its overall condition and identify any potential problems.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): Make sure the VIN on the car matches the one on the title and registration.

Engine and Drivetrain: Check the engine and drivetrain to make sure they are in good condition and the car runs smoothly.

Interior and Exterior: Inspect the interior and exterior of the car to look for any damage or wear and tear.

Tires: Check the tires to ensure they are in good condition and have enough tread to provide proper traction and safety.
